DCW Community Hospital Organized Free Health Camp at Suryodaya Secondary School 2081 poush 19

On 2081 Paush 19, DCWC Community Hospital organized a one-day free school health camp successfully at Suryodaya Secondary School, located in Chaurideurali-1, Kavre. The enthusiasm and warm reception by the school community indeed set the tone for a meaningful and impactful event.

Overview of the Camp Activities

The health camp catered to 67 students and teachers, focusing on raising awareness about oral hygiene and overall health. Key highlights include:

Oral Hygiene Awareness:

We conducted an interactive teeth-cleaning session for the students from Nursery to Grade 5. A total of 36 students were given toothbrushes and toothpaste for the purpose.

Dental Checkups:

Out of the total of 66 students checked, 32 boys and 34 girls, mostly with teeth problems. Program Activity included: Extraction was done in 11Took teachers and other students to visit for follow-ups in DCWC Community Hospital

First Aid Training:

In this regard, our nurses, led by Nurse Saradha Karki, also conducted a practical session on how to use the tools inside the first aid box in order to better prepare the school community for emergencies.

Finally, we also provided a completely prepared first-aid kit to the school as an assistance.

 Participation and Impact

The camp benefited 92 participants, consisting of:

  • 67 students (32 male, 35 female)
  • 19 teachers
  • 6 other members.

This project not only imparted instant health benefits but also made the concept of preventive care and periodic check-ups, creating a long-term impact on all the participants.

Appreciation and Conclusion

The school provided a delicious meal and snacks for our team at the end of the program. Their unwavering cooperation and support throughout the event were instrumental in making this health camp a resounding success.
