We are pleased to share the successful completion of a one-day free school health check-up camp at Shree Antarastriya Yuwa Barsa Secondary School, Pundighyank, Doramba Shailung Rural Municipality–7, Ramechhap on September 9 2026.

The health camp was organized with the aim of bringing basic health services closer to students and supporting them in understanding the importance of regular health check-ups and healthy living. A total of 61 people participated in the health camp, including 36 males and 25 females.

Health Concerns Identified

During the health check-up, the medical team identified and provided consultation for a range of common health concerns:

Each participant was assessed by the medical team, and appropriate health advice and medication were provided where necessary.

The camp was conducted under the management of Tul Bahadur Lama, with the support of Nursing In-charge Sharada Karki and Pharmacy Assistant Pasang Syangtan. The medical services were provided under the leadership of Medical Officer Dr. Akhilesh Adhikari.

The combined effort of the management, medical, nursing, and pharmacy teams helped make the program smooth, organized, and meaningful for everyone who attended.

Guidance Along with Medicines

An important part of the camp was ensuring that participants understood how to use their medicines safely.

Pharmacy Assistant Pasang Syantan provided individual guidance to those receiving medication, including information about:

• The correct dose of each medicine

• When and how to take the medicine

• How long to continue the medication

• Whether it should be taken with or after food

• The proper way to take the medicine

• Appropriate storage of medicines

This counseling was provided to help participants use their medicines correctly and safely even after returning home.

A health camp is not successful because of the medical team alone. It becomes meaningful because of the cooperation and trust of the entire community. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the school management, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed their time, support, and cooperation to make this one-day free school health camp possible. Your support made it possible for us to bring health services closer to the school community, and we are truly grateful for the warm cooperation we received.
