A one-day free dental check-up and awareness camp was successfully conducted in the premises of Shree Buddha Himalaya Secondary School. The session was led by Dr. Sabina Suwal, a dental specialist from our hospital, with active participation from students, teachers, and school staff.

The program began with an informative session on “How to Protect and Maintain Healthy Teeth”, where Dr. Suwal educated students on proper brushing techniques, oral hygiene habits, and preventive care against dental diseases. Following the session, a detailed dental inspection was carried out for all participating students.

In total, 128 students underwent dental examinations — 64 female and 64 male participants. Among them:

• 27 students required teeth cleaning and normal filling was done,

• 13 students required painless tooth extractions, and

• The remaining students were advised to visit the hospital for further treatment such as tooth cleaning and cement filling for decayed or damaged teeth.

The active participation and enthusiasm of the students made the camp lively and impactful. The hospital team extends sincere gratitude to the school administration, teachers, and students for their warm welcome, cooperation, and support in making this camp a great success.

Special thanks goes to Dr. Sabina Suwal(Dental Surgeon) and Nursing Incharge Ms. Saradha Karki for their dedicated service throughout the 7-hour camp. Appreciation also goes to Manager Mr. Tul Bahadur Lama and the entire hospital management team for their coordination and assistance in executing this community service initiative.
