As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting education and well-being, DCWC Community Hospital recently hosted a special program for 90 scholarship students from Kavre and Ramechhap districts. These students, selected for their academic dedication and economic challenges, are supported through the kind contributions of Namaste Nepal and Love Nepal.
The day wasn't just about scholarships — it was about equipping young minds with knowledge for life.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar Thakur, our dedicated medical officer, led an engaging health awareness session. With warmth and simplicity, he spoke to the students about everyday hygiene, healthy habits, and how small changes can make a big difference in staying healthy.
Meanwhile, in the dental department, Dr. Sabina Suwal, an experienced dental surgeon, ran a practical and interactive session on dental care. She demonstrated how to properly clean teeth, shared tips on how to keep them strong, and explained why preventive care matters so much — especially for growing children.
After the sessions, all 90 students received a basic health check-up and were provided with essential medicines and hygiene kits. For many of them, it was their first experience learning about health in such a friendly, personal setting.
This initiative wasn't just a program — it was a reminder that education and health go hand in hand. When we support a child's education, we must also support their ability to grow up healthy, confident, and ready to lead.
We’re proud to walk alongside these children, not just in their classrooms, but in their journey toward a better, healthier life.
