We reached Shree Kharapani Secondary School, Doramba Sailung Gaunpalika–4, with the plan of running a dental preventive care session. The school welcomed us with so much warmth that the whole day felt special from the very beginning.
Our Dental Surgeon Dr. Sabina Suwal started the program with a simple, friendly class on oral hygiene. She explained to the students how small daily habits can protect their teeth for life. The students listened with real curiosity, and the teachers also joined in, making the class lively and interactive.
After the session, we began the dental checkup and Oral Screening and extractions we also done among the students who need. One by one, students came forward, some shy, some excited. By the end of the day, 58 students had their teeth examined. Among them 23 were male and 35 were female. 30 Dental cares, 8 scaling and 11 extraction with 9 of them were found no abnormality. Most of them shared their small dental worries, and we guided them as much as we could. Seeing their interest made the whole effort worthwhile.
We are truly grateful to the entire school family for making this one-day free dental camp smooth and successful. The cooperation from the teachers, the enthusiasm from the students, and the support from the school management made everything easier for us.
The school’s love, respect, and the way they welcomed us encouraged us to extend our help further. At their request, we are also planning to conduct the blood group determination program, hoping this information will be useful for the students in the future.
A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sabina Suwal for her hard work throughout the day, and to Nursing In-charge Saradha Karki for standing by and assisting whenever needed. We also wanted to thank our assistant pharmacist Rabina Chamling Rai for helping us with registrations and keeping the important records.
We would also like to thank the school management team for all the support they offered from start to finish. Our hospital management is equally thankful for the opportunity to serve the community in this way. 23 November 2025 turned out to be a very meaningful day for us.
Programs like these remind us why community health work matters so much. We hope to continue reaching out to more schools and villages in the coming days.
Thank you, Shree Kharapani Secondary School, for such a warm and memorable day.
